LATEST ADVENTURE

Radio Reality!

Well, I did it! Taped my first show that is. Last week I spoke with Scott Engel of Artistic Designs Gallery and Framing of Morningside, aka www.framewise.com (yes, that is what happens when you have a company name that isn't conducive to a web URL!) The interview will air on May 11, Scott is a talented art framer who I use and recommend heartily. He truly puts the craftsmanship and creativity into the art of framing.

I also had the pleasure of interviewing Kim Marks of www.kimmarksart.com, again airing on May 11. She does a range of original and editioned art in vivid colors with themes ranging from cocky kitchen roosters, to lively garden florals, and delicious veggie portraits. She has also created a niche in children's room artwork, vibrant and fun. Check out her show schedule and gallery representation online.
MOTIVATIONAL MOMENT

It's All in Your Perspective!

How often have you found that something that seems immense and important, not to mention all consuming, suddenly shrinks to just one of a thousand priorities all in a matter of days or weeks? Rmember that crisis last Tuesday? No? Probably because you got perspective pretty quickly. I want to share the most fascinating art I've seen in a long time. Check this out, you won't believe your eyes! Be sure to scroll down as what you first see is your view from a distance and the up close is at the bottom. Keeping life and all its events in perspective is critical to our individual success and progress. This is a valuable lesson!

BEST FOR BUSINESS

When Saying No, Means Yes to Success!

In the last two weeks, I've had a slew of PR opportunities come my way but for design, not for speaking, coaching or writing. Now, ordinarily I would simply pursue these openings, but I realized that it was not in alignment with my current desired experiences or path and said “NO.” It wasn't easy but it was a relief when I did because it affirmed that I am on track and on purpose, and it also meant that the resources that would have been needed would be available for new opportunities that are a fit for me. It is often difficult for us to slow down long enough, and get clearly focused enough, to say yes to only those opportunities that truly align us with our path and our purpose. Often we scatter our efforts and our resources with the thinking that any opportunity is a good one. It isn't. Just as not every client is a fit, nor is every project. Once you get truly clear, concise and targeted, you will find that your efforts will deliver far greater results in far less time.

What can you say “NO” to that will mean a “YES” to your success?
