Kitchen with a Mission
This was a complete remodel from a 1980's style galley kitchen originally done in blues and mauves. With a family of four it was cramped and out of date. We took a sun room and effectively blew out the back upper story of the house to create this inviting, functional, warm and spacious kitchen w/ breakfast nook. The mission styling with natural cherry cabinetry, granite countertops and peninsula, and tumbled marble backsplash w/ hard wood floors is the best combination of natural materials, complemented by a timeless sage green color scheme to contrast with the reds and golds of the wood. Details such as a generous pass through from the breakfast nook to the kitchen facilitates family interaction and allowed a wonderful pportunity for seeded glass cabinets for display of treasured pieces. Atop the cabinets, greenery is mixed with flame colored raku pottery and distinctive craft pieces. The window treatment is minimal but frames the view of the outdoors with a relaxed leaf print fabric. Chairs are assorted colors with a generously sized table effectively combined with a built-in bench. For a quick breakfast before work and school, to a leisurely dinner with extra company, this kitchen welcomes.

Rave Review:
"We have been very pleased with Melissa in all her work. Originally we called her in to work on the sunroom, our bedroom and the living and dining room. A year or more later we called her back about renovating our kitchen to include a new breakfast nook, a mud room, and create a new screened in porch. She handled all with great professionalism, talented resources, and custom style."
